About me

User: grecofla
Name: Flavio
My name is Flavio Greco ( the Greek, even if I have no connections there...)born in Italy, Turin, on October 1975 (congratulations for the ones good in math for figuring this out on ur own..). I am affected by the travel bug, I think it got me when I spent one year as exchange student in the States, school year 92-93, yez...a long time ago. Since then I set a target to put at least a foot on each of the continent before I reach 30....So here I am seeking my target! I have been living in Dublin for the past 6 years. I moved there to escape the military service, that used to be mandatory. The plan was to stay 3 years and then move on, but I liked the place, met loads of friend including Ken my travel mate, and I stayed until the end of June of this year, when I started this trip.....

Well after only 14 hours on the bus we arrived in San Cristobal.

Some basic information about the bus journey: one of the tv inside the bus was black and white (obviously the one of our section...), and the 2 movies played were very bad...During the night we had a lovely soundtrack made by different tones of snoring, an american couple making out in the back of the bus and other various undefined sounds...on the ouside instead heavy storms and loads of curves...

Thanks god our heroes managed to get 2 seats each and got few hours of deserved sleep.

We got in san Cristobal at 8 in the morning and since we needed to reactivate our butt ´s cell¨we smartely decided to go for a horse ride.

The gang was made by the Mexican guide, a Jap (anese), who was staying in our hostel, an Irish man ( first time on the horse ) and an Italian ( so they say..)

Ken after the first 10 minutes wasn't impressed at all, actually I canalmost say he was wondering how in the heck I convinced him to do it....

To make a long story short, after a 3 hours ride with a 30 mins stop our butts were (and still are) totally destroyed (no pictures available ).

Funny moment when the Jap received a phone call on the mobile: " Hi Mum, I¨m in Mexico on a horse, could u pls call back later..."

Today we went to the Sumidero Canyon, the symbol of Chiapas, a trip by bus and then a 2 hours boat ride that again was not very beneficial to our butts....
